I was planning on making a small introduction video about myself, about this blog and where I plan to take it, but due to an unfortunate accident, my camera died. I will eventually make a video once I fixed it or bought a new one, but until then, a simple explanation will have to do for now.
My name is Edwin, I am from the Netherlands and I have a great deal of passion for science. I’ve spent a lot of time lurking and sometimes discussing on forums, mostly with creationists. I figured it would be a good idea to work out a way to post my ideas, my opinions, my research on a blog so everyone could access it.
I have certain views, and it is impossible for me to say that I am not biased. I most definitely am, I am biased towards good science. I am also biased towards honesty and respect. If I am wrong, show it to me, and I will adapt my views to what is presented to me, evolve them so to speak. If you are wrong, I hope you will try to do the same.
Respect is a good thing in a discussion, and I’m sure I’m going to find some responses that I don’t agree with. I will thus try to respond in a manner that focuses on the topic of discussion, and not on the person him or herself.
